I am not sure of the exact model. I have a Humax hard driver recorder and it was working fine until my TV got damaged and last Friday I connected it to a new TV a Bush 24 Inch HD Ready Smart ELED HDR TV / DVD Combi (the old TV was a Bush TV).
At first it worked fine but today when I turn it on either
a) the screen is green
b) the TV starts for a few seconds and then goes green.

Now
a) Youtube etc works on the TV
b) When connecting the hard driver recorder to a different TV it works fine

Searching implies that this a problem with HDMI but I am not sure how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

I used to get this with my old Humax recorder on certain TVs.      It drove me mad so I bought an Amazon Basics HDMI lead and the problem went away.

How many HDMI sockets does your TV have?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Try disconnecting the Humax when the TV is off and reconnecting when it is on.
    (This could break something though.......)

I have a Humax and a new Samsung TV. The Humax won't play nice and I just get a black screen* when I select its input (It has never autoswitched, it seems to be permanently active). Luckily I have the Humax connected to a switch box, and I simply turn the switch box on after the TV is on, and I get a picture.

If I forget and leave the switch box on when the TV comes on, that input has a black screen, no matter which input I select on the switch box.

Conclusion- the humax is just pants.

*black screen & no sound. This is different to "no signal" when a box pops up on the screen to tell me there is no signal, and I am stupid for selecting an input with no signal and should choos one of the others.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

All very well saying the 'Humax is just pants', but you don't say it it's an old model or a newer one. Are you saying that Humax are just pants? If so, I don't agree... :)

It’s possible that the TV is switching to a different input. Do you understand how to change it back again using the controller?  It’s certainly worth checking.
