I am a 75 year old pensioner receiving no extra benefits, living in rural Cornwall with no gas supply. My 18 year old combi oil boiler needs replacing. Are there any grants available to help towards the cost?

There are some details for your council here. https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/health-and-social-care/public-health/public-health-campaigns/winter-wellbeing/grants-loans-and-subsidies-for-energy-use/I would suggest getting in touch with them and they’ll be able to assess your situation. Depending on the EPC of your house and other criteria, you may also find you can get other energy-saving improvements carried out.Smart Tech Specialist with Octopus Energy Services (all views my own). 4.44kW SW Facing in-roof array with 3.6kW Givenergy Gen 2 Hybrid inverter and 9.5kWh Givenergy battery. 9kW Panasonic Aquarea L (R290) ASHP. #gasfree since July ‘230
