Hi guys,
My missus and I are looking to open a joint savings account.
shamefully we have money in various current accounts to the value of 50k we are not getting interest on. I’ve promised myself to turn over a new leaf and be a bit smarter.
What does everyone recommend in terms of savings accounts?
it needs to be easy access as they money might be utilised for a house deposit in a few months so something I can withdraw the money from straight away without a fee.
thanks everyone

Chip first then Tandem are near instant access and deposits. Are you or your wife a higher rate tax payer. If so the one that is not should be the account holder. To save on tax.1

Some of the best paying accounts don't allow joint applications, but Shawbrook does https://www.shawbrook.co.uk/direct/savings/personal-savings/easy-access-savings-accounts/easy-access/0

Applied for one with shaw took there
i was reading about chip’s current account “round-up' account paying 5%”
what exactly does that mean?
What would everyone’s opinion be on chip vs chase accounts?
one of the most important things is I can access 80k quickly and easily without fees for a house purchase of required
thanks

AFAIK, Chip doesn't have a round-up. Chase does but it is not as good as the Roundup you can get at Natwest and RBS. Roundups are not suited for large sums of money, and are not about serious saving IMO.
