I looked at last months statement from Eon and the Energy Price Guarantee didn't add up the price per Kwh multiplied by the pence per unit was found to be 2p short, so that meant the bill was 2p dearer than should be, I contacted Eon and they reimbursed me the 2p (as a goodwill gesture) yeah ok, my fathers has Eon too and guess what they have done the same overcharging with him, 33 million customers being overcharged if using the same energy would mean Eon Next is making £660,000 profit every month just by manipulating the end figure, CHECK YOUR LAST BILL NOW.

Probably just down to rounding and / or figures not published to umpteen decimal places.  If so, you're just as likely to be undercharged; have you found overcharging month after month?
In any case, your calculation is grossly inaccurate because they have only 5.6 million customers !

So with 70 million people in the UK, assuming that there's on average 2 people per household that means that Eon supplies about 1/6 of all households?

According to https://www.statista.com/statistics/862504/domestic-electricity-supply-market-shares-great-britain-gb/ Eon had a market share of 17% in Q3 2022, so 1 in 6 households seems like it roughly checks out.

You'd be better targeting the oil companies.
If you fill your car with 50 litres of petrol the pump is likely to deliver only 49.75 litres.  That's because they're legally allowed to deliver 0.5% less than the stated amount, and pumps are calibrated very accurately to do exactly that.
So every full tank is costing you about 35p more than it should.

Don't the government benefit more from that?

Can't see how, presumably the government has received the duty and VAT based on the alleged sale of 50 litres, but the petrol station has only supplied me with 49.75 litres so they've pocketed the 35p overcharge.
Someone's doing very nicely out of this  and it's certainly not the motorist !
