any idea re getting cover off to change light bulb

Screws are holding a lip of glass which holds the cover in place and as above hold the cover.JohnB47 said:That picture showing the screw looks like a fitting I have. On mine you would need to remove all screws, holding the fitting as you remove the last one, because the fitting just drops down.
When you have the cover off you can give it wash as you might discover a dead spider are 2

Many thanks to all who commented - it was indeed the three little screws holding the glass on - so one of us on a step ladder and one on a chair holding the glass, discovered that the screws were only finger tight and much easier to undo by hand. Can report that there were no spiders or any other wildlife, bulb change and bathroom now fully illuminated

If they are tight, the glass can crack when heated by the bulb inside and expands. Possibly, this isn't as important now as it used to be with incandescent bulbs.Flugelhorn said:discovered that the screws were only finger tight and much easier to undo by hand.
