I bought a Silver 925 antique necklace for £1 in a silent auction, I probably didn't do as well as I should have for the selling of it where I made £30, 300% profit not to be sneezed at!April Missions:-

Not £1, it was £10 but I’ll post it anyway.
In 1989 my chemistry teacher told me not to waste £10 to apply to Oxford, as it’s “not for people like you.”
I ignored her, was accepted, and left with a 2:1 in physics.
The return on that has been immense.

2 x 50p for a sad looking pair of....

Last year 50p for a great condition first press of The Beatles Please Please me single on the old red parlophone label from a car boot.
Sold for £200+on a well known auction site.
I don't normally sell any vinyl,but couldn't turn this one down.6 -
I needed a couple of wee occasional tables and was looking for a few weeks.
Popped down to the chazzer by work and there was a nest of 2. Old pine but clean and do the job. Will upcycle when I cba!

I paid about 80p for four boat tickets to take my family through a cave to see the lake where they filmed the original Tarzan series with Johnny Weismuller. It was stunning. Family memories are great.7

Bought a pair of trainers in John Lewis sale reduced from £90 to £29 , got to the till and they came up as 29p and JL had to sell at that price !

About 5 years ago I bought a lovely full length 'going out' dress (priced at £49 previously) for £1 from a shop that was closing down. I wore it a few times and then put it in a local charity shop and I hope someone else enjoyed wearing it as well :-)6
