Equifax - what does "Special Arrangement" mean?

Couldn't say for sure but to me it looks like there'll definitely be a good number of Eon Next customers impacted by this. Most probably aren't aware.
I've put a post in the Energy forum, hopefully others will check and feedback.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. UPDATE
So, response from Sainsburys/EON basically saying they got it wrong and are correcting it (both the "I" and AP markers) within 2-4 days on my report. No indication of how this happened - I will be going back to them but doubt they will offer up more information.
So I will be keeping a close eye on my report but sounds like there is a resolution coming. Be interested to see what responses other people get...1 -
Similar response from Eon Next, except that they've just asked me to call their customer care line and get it removed.
"What you can do is, you may call our customer care line and they will be able to get it removed from your credit file, on the phone, with you, as this was flagged in error.
I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but we can have it sorted.
Please call us on EON NEXT - 08085015200"
I doubt their customer care line will know what I'm talking about, but let me give it a go.

Spent an hour on the phone with Eon Next who initially couldn't find any notes. They've put the 'evidence' (Equifax screenshots showing the AP markers) in a message and sent it to their 'Data Share' team who will take up to a week to assess it.
Worryingly, unlike the person on email who confirmed it was an error, the person on the phone said all he can do is send it to the team and they will decide whether it needs correcting or not.
Anyway, I'll circle back when I get an update.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Well, success for me anyway - both Clearscore and my statutory report are showing as Active & Up To Date for EON - shows that they can correct it quickly if they want to!
Oh, and my score is back to 1000. Whoopee
If I do hear any more about why this happened, I'll add it to this thread.
@K_S - I wish you luck in getting the same resolution...2 -

Even if I do get it sorted, I'm going to continue my complaint until they give me an explanation of why this happened as I think it's quite a big deal as it probably traces back to a mistake they made when rolling out the credit bureau reporting recently and must be affecting a good proportion of their customers with debit balances. As a mortgage broker, I shudder to think of all the people who must be going about their business not aware of an AP marker on their Equifax reports.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I do agree that they need to be held to account for what looks to be a much wider problem than just you and me - unless they are quietly fixing this behind the scenes, I can well expect that there will be sporadic posts here along the lines of "mortgage pulled at the last minute due to EON"0 -
Got a Clearscore alert saying "status of your public utility account will improve", looks like Eon fixed their error on my Equifax report.
