Most Now Broadband customers will see their bills increase by £42 a year (£3.50 a month) from 5 July, the provider has announced. However, those on its social tariff won't see prices rise, while those who are affected can cancel penalty-free. Below we've full info on the increase and what you can do about it.

Yikes - for me, that represents a 16.7% increase!
Haven't had any notification, yet, but, presumably, just a matter of time...?0 -
Just received this email notifying me this morning (Tues 300523)Your NOW Account Number: xxxxxxxxxxxYour NOW Broadband Membership is changingHi xxxxx,At NOW, we’re all about bringing you great value, award-winning broadband, so you can stay connected to everything you love. For any questions, please see our Help Centre. You don’t need to do anything - your NOW Broadband will continue as usual. If you are not happy with these changes you can cancel your NOW Broadband Membership. Signed up to now broadband super fibre (no TV) in April 2023 at £26 per month.
Got an email on 26/05/2023 that this will be going up by £3.50 from 05/07/2023 to £29.50
Called the number on the email (0330 041 2498), waiting 40mins, then mentioned I'm am not happy with the increase and thinking of leaving.
Mentioned the onestream fibre 80 12 month deal at £20.95 per month and also that they are offering new NOW broadband customers a cheaper rate of £23 going up to £26.50 for the same package
The offered me the new rate of £22 per month going up by £3.50 in July to £25.50 to sign up to a new 12 month contract.
Hope this helps others.

Terrible. We just went through the stress and utter turmoil of switching our 85 year old Mum from the extremely high cost BT package that they had been ripping her off with for years...to Now Broadband. Now we have to tell her THAT'S going up! Terrible.1

"If you are not happy with these changes you can cancel your NOW Broadband Membership"
Can anyone confirm what this means? I started a renewed contract with them about three weeks ago. Can I just switch to another provider without penalty - assuming I do so imminently? Or Do I need to talk to them?0 -

Can anyone confirm what this means? I started a renewed contract with them about three weeks ago. Can I just switch to another provider without penalty - assuming I do so iYou wmminently? Or Do I need to talk to them? You'd better talk to them and let them know the reason, change of terms etc as per the e-mail. Otherwise, the robot doing the billing will not be aware of what you are thinking, far easier to tell them than argue the toss after getting a bill for early cancellationJust make sure you have another hole to jump into first in case Now pull the plug PDQEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
i only joined NOW bb on 17th May.I haven’t had an email yet regarding the increase, I wonder if it’s a delay in the email or it won’t apply to me. I think I’ll have to give them a call.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0

Had my elderly parents on this £17.99/m basic broadband and anytime calls for a few years - whenever it comes time to renew, NOW have always fiddled around with the line items and discount to get them the same deal, currently looks like this, though out of contract, which they offered to carry on for another year, contract-free, back in December:Brilliant Broadband £25.00Anytime calls £8.00Line rental £0.00Auto number withhold £0.00NOW Brilliant Broadband for #17.99 For 12 Months -£7.01Anytime Calls Offer -£8.00Subtotal £17.99
Now with the £3.50 rise, that'll be £21.49/m. Still not bad, and it suits their very simple but specific needs - all the free streaming services on their TV (yep they all play fine, rarely buffering, if at all) and free all day calls to landlines/mobiles (a godsend to them!!), but every little helps of course.
Called NOW yesterday to try and get a deal for them, which I'm usually good at, but no dice
- however I only tried to negotiate on price, not services.
Any chance I can get them a better NOW fibre broadband for the same price?
- I will be calling NOW again to ask.
EDIT ... I tried, again, no dice0 -
My email was from sender sky@email.contact.sky with subject "Your NOW Broadband Membership is changing".
This included the below link:
https://help.nowtv.com/article/changes-to-your-broadband-membership?DCMP=EMC_GB_SRV_BB_BBPINC_HELP_230510
When I called the number in the email I was connected to someone from sky. Due to the high volumes of calls from Now customers, Sky staff have been pulled in to help.
Before calling check
1)is the current equivalent new customer NOW tariff cheaper than your tariff (before and after the increase)
2) is there a cheaper equivalent tariff available elsewhere on the market. If yes let them know you are thinking of switching to this.
