Had one today - a bit of a giveaway as it had a tokyio email address. Reported report@phishing.gov.uk
The figures they quote are staggering - As of April 30th 2023, the number of reports received stand at more than 20,048,000 with the removal of more than 124,000 scams across 227,000 URLs.

Watching "Scam Interceptors" recently on the Beeb ,was an eye opener. There are still whole districts in major cities in India , with huge call centres ,many involved in various scams !0

Jim Browning and the US scam-baiters are doing sterling work on battling these call centre scams.2

There was an article a couple of years back on the radio where the Producer of the programme had got what she felt was an email from TVL.The presenter spotted it was not genuine instantly apparently.Licence was spelled incorrectly.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0
