Barclays credit card which was to give £50 bonus

Hi,
Some time ago there was a link for Barclays credit card - as far as I remember if you opened an account with them you'd be getting a voucher for £50. I have done it, used my card, got a statement and no sign of a voucher or any info.
Has it happened to anyone? Were there any hidden conditions?
Thanks a lot.

I've been away and only yesterday used the card. I'll let you know if I have a problem, but a bit soon for me.
So far, have used Barclays Insurance twice and always received their cashback so I did feel confident about the credit card. Sorry, can't help you. I hadn't noticed any hidden conditions, and Martin said you could spend £1 and still get the £50.
Good luck,

thread about it here. I got my vouchers this week :T
think the main conditions were that you applied for the card before midnight on Oct 23rd and you spend on it before Nov 30th.Wiggly:heartpulsFB0 -
I signed up for this and spent once on it, before 30th November, as stipulated. Fourteen days later (as per T&Cs) I received a voucher claim form in the post. I selected the retailer, copied it, and returned it Recorded Delivery. T&Cs again say I should receive the voucher within 14 days of receipt (will be 27th) so fingers crossed!
If you've met the conditions, chances are it's just caught up in the Christmas post.0 -
Oh, so that's the catch! As soon as I got the card I rang to activate it, then tried to use it several times and it was rejected so after a few days called them and found out that mysteriously it hasn't actually been activated. So I guess they've done it so that people wouldn't manage before end of November. In this way I have had my first purchase on 13th December:mad:0

This is just one more in a catalogue of c*ck-ups that have afflicted this otherwise excellent offer. I may, of course, not be impartial, but I would consider that your inability to meet the spend-by date was Barclaycard's fault, not yours. Therefore, I suggest that you write to ...

PS. Lisah31: The T&C's say that the voucher will be sent (not received) within 14 days of receipt of the voucher request form. However, this part of the promotion was outsourced to a firm who know what they are doing. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Hi, sorry if I've hijacked this slightly but here is my experience of their delaying tactics.
I'd applied for it before the deadline, think it was the 31st Oct. Not only did I attempt to do two balance transfers online, on their secure site, I was then informed by them a few days later via email that it wasn't successful??. At that time though I was out of the country for a month so left it until I got back. After phoning them up they said that as it was the first time that I had tried to do a balance transfer, it would have to be over the phone??? As it could be quite easy to fraudulently do this online (with the password that they sent me - online, on a secure site??). So after giving them my BT details over an insecure line to complete the process it was accepted??? Very annoying when I'd gone through the process of doing BT securely online. Extremely puzzled, but it was an Far Eastern call centre.
I'd unfortunately not spent on mine so no come back there
But good luck to those who are still waiting for their vouchers.
Happy Xmas!!

My boyfriend spent on his card before the 30th November and paid when the statement came. He hasn't received a voucher request form but when I checked the t&c you had to send the voucher request form back by 31st December so it looks like he's missed out even though he's complied with the t&c  He has sent an email to them but I doubt they will sort this out.
I applied for the same offer and got the vouchers mid November.0
