How can a supplier accept a credit card payment over the phone or remotely?

I want to pay a deposit to a bedroom furniture supplier using a credit card. They've said that they're happy with this, but have no idea how to do it, and have asked me to ask my credit card company for advice.
Does anyone know of the most cost-effective way for a small business to accept a credit card payment remotely?

Sounds odd. Do they mean they aren't set up to accept credit card payments at all?0

PayPal/Zettle invoice... they send you a link by email or text and you click on it to pay it. They will need a company account with either (Zettle are owned by PayPal).
Do they generally accept cards? If so its a question to their card payment processor on how they can do a "cardholder not present" transaction0 -
They must be trading on a very small scale if they're not already set up to take card payments for a business like furniture selling? No free lunch, and no free laptop2

If you use a credit card via PayPay/Zettle will you still have the same Section 75 protection?

Maybe they do not want to pay the charges for taking card payments. So will only take payments via bank transfer.Life in the slow lane0
