Yorkshire BS - Secure messaging - Don't use Copy/paste, as your message may not send
Comments
-
It happens to me sometimes with other secure messaging system, probably with YBS as well if my memory serves well. In all cases I manage to copy the text box of secure messaging without the need to re-type it.Sea_Shell said:They have responded and are investigating. IT WORKED!!!
So, it does appear that adding any copy/paste items to your message can stop it actually being sent.
I'll update the thread title in case anyone else has a similar issue. What might happen here is that1. when you copy and paste a message from other source, all of the original formatting will also be copied. Some secure messaging system will only allow a plain text, does not allow formatting. So it becomes a problem when there is formatting. One way of handling it is to paste it in other text processing to remove all of the formatting and copy it to the secure messaging.2. There is a limit of words that you could put in the messaging, So if it is too long they will not be processed.3
