The tax credit can I get this as on £24K

You can’t get ax credit as no-one can make a new claim for tax credits. Use the benefit calculator at entitledto.Co.Uk to see what you are entitled to claim.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

You can no longer make a new claim for Tax Credits as its all under one hood now, UC.

    Try a benefits calculator:

    https://www.uceplus.co.uk/

There is no help for Mortgage, apart from SMI interest only loan (which has to be paid back) and only if you have had 9 consecutive months of no earned income and only after you have been claiming for 3 consecutive assessment periods.

Is this a shared ownership property where you only own a percentage of the property with a mortgage and pay rent on the other part you do not own ?

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

No tenancy agreement, no rent help from UC.  You do have to show you are legitimately renting to receive any rent help.   The tenancy agreement is then verified and validate by UC.

The mortgage is the home owners responsibility, if this is not affordable, your only alternative would be to maybe consider selling the property.   Consider taking advice from your divorce solicitor or Citizen's Advice.

The maximum amount of help you can get with rent and service charges is capped and depends on your postcode and the number of bedrooms you are entitled to based on how your household is made up.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

UC is based on your overall individual circumstances to form Total Entitlement and are different for everyone.

    Age
    Single/Joint rate
    Children
Rent - whether private / social (Local Housing Allowance dependant on circumstances)
    Childcare
    Carer
    Disabilities

    Deducted from Total Entitlement

Work Allowance if Children/LCWRA - before deduction of 55% of earned income over work allowance.

If no Work Allowance, 55% deduction of earned income entirely.

Deductions are also made to pay back any Advances / Debts.

Hence your Award could be very different from your Total Entitlement.
