Have you opened the NW digi account, slip a couple of quid in each month or more as funds allow (max £150pm), interest is 6% and it soon builds up. Also, if you used the current account for food shopping and have double round ups activated it doesn't count towards your max pm amount.

Your home will be worth it once done, even though it's hard going at the moment.

Thanks @MovingForwards but I’m now with Lloyds as my changeable account. My main account is First Direct who have a good regular saver too.

Although I have not posted in a few weeks, things have been ticking along nicely with regular payments going out s usual. We are in discussions to buy the barn next to our property and an half acre round it. We could then use the barn as a garage/ workshop and turn another outbuilding into a holiday let.

I have made a few extra pension payments and had a few small wins. Free bread from Lidl claimed from their app,  a friend used my shopium referral code so £3 credit, £10 B and Q voucher from consumer pulse, some prolific payouts and have been accepted on a longer term study worth £80. Silly things but oddly motivating. We needed to get some turf and DH spotted some free on Facebook so we saved a bit there.

oog very exciting about buying barn with the land around it. ANd the holiday would be a nice bit of income, as long as the conversion isnt too stressful!! Glad all the savings are ticking along

Thanks Flowers. I don’t think it would be too bad. That would give us two properties we could let out. We have a family member staying in one which wasn’t why we did it but they need some where to stay and do the garden and cat sit and at the moment we aren’t ready mentally to have it as a holiday let with extra noise and work. Plus we were going to convert the barn next to where they stay so didn’t want guests putting up with the noise and dust etc and the garden outside has only just been finished. But doing this other one will require much less work and be a lot cheaper and we could still do the third one later if we chose. This property has so much potential it’s just deciding on how best to use it. Plus I want to get our house finished.

I forgot to mention my car made it through its MOT ok on Friday 🥳 and I got £200 on the premium bonds last draw so that was quite good.

Back from holiday for a bit before we go off again next weekend.

Managed to keep the spends right down but had a great time with lots of rest.

I transferred my Pfc earnings to pension so another £41.13 plus tax and I won £125 on Premium Bonds which will go in when I receive it along with £10 from Swagbucks and whatever else I can get from Pfc by then
