Units: 8.36Based on E.ON assumed consumption, annual cost: £2214.67Based on actual previous 365 days, annual cost: £2205.86Compared to latest CI forecasts those unit rates look pretty similar for electric - c.f. their current predictions for next 3 Q - cheaper than some, more expensive than others - but not as cheap as the CI for gas (6.7/7.08p Q4/Q1 predicted cf your NW 8.36 ).But those daily standing charges look cheap - saving 14p+ on gas and similar on electric for NW cf this Q anyway - and CI forecasting more SC rises - so around £100+ per year.

I wrote to them complaining about not having access to that tariff and got this reply, which sounds like something they prepared earlier exactly for this question

"We are continuously reviewing how to best serve our E.ON Next customers and offer products relevant to their characteristics and preferences. In this instance this offer is not available to all E.ON Next customers, we are exploring the best ways to serve our customers in the future and further enhance a customer journey and experience with E.ON Next."Being brave is going after your dreams head on2 -

I would hope that this might be a hint that they are actively exploring the possibility of experimenting with time of use tariffs along broadly similar lines to Octopus. They have the Kraken technology, and must surely be thinking along these lines by now.ScarletBea said:I wrote to them complaining about not having access to that tariff and got this reply, which sounds like something they prepared earlier exactly for this question

A bit like their participation in the National Grid energy saving events. Not for everyone.ScarletBea said:I wrote to them complaining about not having access to that tariff and got this reply, which sounds like something they prepared earlier exactly for this question

I wonder if those that were Symbio refugees can confirm if any have been offered this? We still have 11 months of our fix left so not surprisingly this isn't viewable.0 -

This is the 'full tariff information' box. Lack of clarity/consistency is a bit concerning.Surely they would have spotted the loophole of changing to another of their own tariffs?

Original EON as well as British Gas always cited exit fees if switch supplier and did not apply if changed tariff, long standing tip to avoid exit fees change to Standard tariff and then switch out.NervyBuyer said:

I suspect it's down to the Eon Next randomiser again. I do dislike their penchant for offering deals randomly and not to all.jbuchanangb said:I wonder if those that were Symbio refugees can confirm if any have been offered this? Is it not simply that it's being offered as an option to customers whose fixes are coming to an end?0

I believe there’s a couple of comments in the thread from those now at the end of their fixes not being offered this, which would suggest there’s either some more intricate criteria involved and/or Eon wants to play wheel of fortune with their customers (which they have a habit of doing).spot1034 said:Is it not simply that it's being offered as an option to customers whose fixes are coming to an end?Moo…0
