New flats, guaranteed returns, no running costs: too good to be true?
I've just received an email from knightknox ref chapel st - unbelievable! then I've looked on the website ref chapel street and it says its run by yale housing association ltd CBS charity. googled that and companies house say accounts are overdue since 2021. I'm not an expert at navigating companies house stuff so I then thought I'd search the charities register - couldn't find it but then found out a CBS charity does not have to register with charity commission. pity as with them you have to submit accounts etc and you find out much more info than companies house. I'm tempted to pretend to be interested - be very interesting to know the solicitors they are using for this scam!!
When we rented property we used to occasionally get "guaranteed rent" offers, generally the going rate was amount 20% below market price, with some commitments from the landlord as well.
