I went hairdresser on Friday, Turkish one anyway I ask them to do fire on my ear hair...

Is this still a thing?  My dad used to get this done back in the 1970s.  I thought it was bonkers then and thought it must have died out - through evolution if nothing else...

I always have a phobia about the barber snipping the top of my ear off.

Ah well, another reason not to get my hair cut.  And not to use petrol to remove earwax...

I've had it done several times by barbers, usually from the Eastern end of the Mediterranean.  It was a bit weird the first time but never been hurt.

Sim - you've had the reasonable answers - if you weren't satisfied with the apology and discount at the time, you needed to say so at the time.  Maybe you weren't confident to.   But claiming compensation now is a non-starter.

If you're uncertain - change hairdressers.  Or ask not to be seated with that specific barber.
I need to think of something new here...
