Hairdresser burnt ear

I went hairdresser on Friday, Turkish one anyway I ask them to do fire on my ear hair.
He burnt my right ear first degree burn, I still paid them £20, he gave me 5 discount and said sorry 5-6 times.
Nurse gave me cream.
Should I apply for compensation and how much could I get.
The reason I haven’t is I don’t know who to go to, and he might lose his job or hairdresser close down when it was a mistake.

Have you suffered any financial loss such as time off work?
Compensation should do just that, compensate you back to the position you were in before the incident….0 -
You asked them to use flame to remove you ear hair and are surprised that you got a minor burn? You were given a 25% discount and multiple apologies. What more do you feel you should be entitled to?

You say you want compensation but you don't want the business to suffer. Which is it?1 -
I’m gona leave it, you guys are right, thanks.
just to mention I done the ear thing many times before and it’s not been burnt.
I don’t think they should have charged me and maybe just given me compensation in the shop.

When it comes to injuries you also have general damages which cover pain, suffering, loss of amenities. Someone could lose an eye and in theory be back in work within a few weeks or less... their compensation is worth vastly more than just their loss of earnings.
To claim for injuries the OP would need a report from the hospital they attended to deal with their injury, likewise their GP for the ongoing treatment and then commission a report from an appropriate consultant, eg ENT or plastic surgery, who'll give a long term prognosis on their recovery period etc.
Obviously not going to happen1 -
Seems like that barber is a bit heavy-handed with the blowtorch.
You must be so pleased you just went to have your ears singed and not a back, sack & crack2 -
Cant they glue some more hair back on for free ?0
