Hi guys
I have just been turned down on my third job and wondering if my credit score has anything to do with it as I think my cv is quite good.
Many thanks

No. No one but you ever sees your credit score so it can't affect anything.
If you're applying for roles in certain industries, they may check for CCJs etc.1 -
Ok not my score, I apologise I meant the credit file. Do employers check each persons files to see what they are like first before taking them on?0

I would expect an employer to be up front if they were running that sort of checks - and usually only do it right at the end of the recruitment process. Are you being turned down after being offered the job? After interview? Or not getting the interview?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

After the interview, they tell me they will let me know in a few days after i have had my interview then in few days I get an email saying I wasn't successful.0

I've worked with a number of banks over the years and before being allowed to set foot in the door I've had to complete varying levels of financial vetting forms.
Those roles have all had zero access to systems that actually control any finances.

Only a few sectors, financial, certain Civil Service, security, police, senior rolls etc. require credit checks and they will always tell you in advance and you need to consent.0

The jobs I have been applying for are warehouse jobs, I have had over 20 years experience in a warehouse.
After the third decline I was trying to think what other things could have stopped me getting a job.
I know some houses to rent will need credit check then it dawned on me, what about jobs?
But since its unlikely then I am stumped.0 -
Some jobs will run credit checks as part of pre-employment screening due to the perceived moral risk that exists if you are in financial distress. This are almost always done after the job offer is made as its a time consuming and non-free service so no point screening people who may be useless in the interview etc1

Not sure if it's the norm in warehousing, but in IT we're regularly advised to ask for feedback following a rejection.
Usually, it's a polite "not enough experience" in a particular product to be polite rather than saying too old / too smelly, etc but it's not unreasonable to ask for feedback.
*yes I know old and smelly are not legitimate reasons to not employ people.1 -
Thank you guys
I will email the last company and asked them for the reason.1
