TBH we all know what it means…

But the information in your earlier post was incorrect because you said the income for PW has to be below 16 x NMW.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

what affect does being in the support group have besides it paying extra?
    Generally:
With Support Group (LCWRA) you have no requirements other that to inform the DWP of any changes of circumstances.
With Work Rekated Activities Group (WRAG/LCW) you have to attend Work Focused Interviews, and do some Work Relaed Activities that may help you find work you could do now, or later "when you are able to work again"
I myself used to be ESA WRAG, but migrated myself onto UC LCW.
That means that I have to ocassionally visit the jobcenter and also do 'Work Related Activities'.
Currently I have been attending the jobcenter once every 3-months for a 'Work Focused Interview'.
(It was only every 6-months when I was on ESA).
Basically that's just a keep-up-to-date chat, with the occasional 'We have this new course available do you fancy it?'
At my last WFI I was offered the choice of doing them by video instead of trailing down to the jobcentre, it's something new that they are bringing in.
As for Work Related Activities, in my case my WRA's are to keep an eye online for jobs I might be able to do, continue to be a moderator on a technical forum, and to give advice on a (currently closed) disability forum.
I have to spend at least one hour a week doing those WRA's.
Each persons WRA's will be different, mine are pretty light.
TBH as long as you can tell them that you are doing something that is in some way work related, and not just watching telly all day, then that allows then to tick the box that they need to (and not badger you to do a bit more).
