Mine did too. It is quite easy to overlook it. Have a look back through statements to the beginning of December and see if there is £10 extra added onto your DLA payment. If there is then that'll be the Christmas payment.

I have checked at the bank today, it didn't go into this month's DLA or my IB, I will check my bank statement further back. Thanks for all the help, Merry Christmas   :beer:0

Yes if another member of the household is on a seperate qualifying benefit it may be payable. What I was meaning is a family of 4 with one on IB for example would not receive 4 bonus payments. Sorry if that was misleading.
No IS is not a qualifying benefit but those who get the IS with IB, as the IB on long term rate is a qualifying benefit, which I know 4 who do get them paid together, the payment of the Christmas bonus has gone on this year with their IS/IB payment.
Also just another quick one, were you entitled to the benefit from before 1st Monday in December this year? I spent an hour trying to sort out a claim for someone who said they haddn't received a bonus only for her to tell me that she had only claimed from the 10th.What else should I know?
How is it paid? By Girocheque or by increasing the amount of benefit payable by the amount of the Christmas Bonus in the specified week, usually the week beginning with the first Monday in December
Good luck in sorting it out, Happy Christmas to you tooOne day I might be more organised...........

That's strange. I did a little search and found this: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benefits/christmas_bonus.asp.
It doesn't say why you wouldn't have received it, although it does say it's automatic in most cases so it may just be that you have to phone them up and then they'll sort it out.
Merry Christmas.

Have received a bank statement today, the Xmas Bonus went in on the 3rd December! I hadn't even noticed - even though every time I go to the bank I get a mini statement. Thanks for your help everyone, hope you have a nice Christmas and a prosperous New Year.:beer:0
