Sky BB leaving?

Options
Been on the IM to Sky trying to get a better deal as not in contract with them anymore, the ''deal'' the person claimed was the best deal they could offer wasnt very good (there is better for new customers) so I said I'd proceed with cancelling hoping to get a better offer but they didnt and now the disconnect is going thru in 15 days, argh! I didnt really want to leave them, changing ISP seems a lot and I dont want to be without internet access do I call with a grovelling apology (lol) and accept the deal???

Couldn't edit my original post but wanted to add do they ever call with an offer after you start the cancelation process but not at the point where you have left them completely?

Are you cancelling b/band and TV ? A TV cancellation can be reversed in a few hours  HOWEVER once a b/band cancellation is on the Openreach system it can be very difficult to halt and possibly could happen ahead of schedule as it depends on Openreach engineer availability at your exchange ! Certainly little/no chance of a Sky deal once the work is done.
Then you would have to start as a new customer with another ISP with a break in service and a "new line required" scenario.
After the event I know but best practice is not to cancel broadband but to find another ISP to ensure minimal downtime..

They do offer better deals for existing customers than new ones in my experience. I'd be surprised if you can halt it now and you could be looking at 4 weeks or more with no broadband.

I did the same, phoned up to try and get a better deal and then said I was cancelling in the hope they would offer something but they didn't.
I then said I'll get back to them and got a better deal with Shell, so they are taking over tomorrow.
