iPone 13-" eSIM compatible and network-unlocked"
I am on the verge of becoming an iD customer with a new iphone 13 mini. I want to use the Airalo app in Turkey so I can make a call as soon as I land- there is no WiFi at the airport. The app is asking me if “eSIM compatible and network-unlocked”.
I am not mega tech savy with mobiles and this will be my first ever new iPhone. Now iD are saying their phones aren't locked to a network and Airalo says that the iPhone 13 supports its app - only reason I'm getting the new phone is my iPhone 7 doesn't support it and I nearly found that out the hard way.
Am I going to be okay?

An eSIM is an electronic SIM already inside your phone that can be programmed and activated over a WiFi/Mobile DataThe Airalo app doesn’t make calls it’s used to install a data eSIM in the phone. The idea being that you use your normal SIM ( in this case ID) for calls and the eSIM for data.It sounds like you’d be better off with a prepaid Turkish eSIM that provides voice calls, texts and data. (Unless you are intending to make calls using something like WhatsApp)
There are lots of comparison sites that will show you the various eSIM options for Turkey.0 -

The answer to both is yes, the iPhone 13 mini is eSim compatible and as phones are no longer locked it is network unlocked.====1
