My prices for the same packages went up from 1st April.Did you take a new deal out around April time when the prices went up then?If prices rise and you've recently taken a deal out, you're protected from it for 60 days after it would have taken effect I believe. Timed right this may effectively end up being three months as you pay in advance; Sky's billing system/portal looks really odd when you change your package mid month so if you did take a new deal out you may be playing catch up?That being said there is a date mentioned of 13/05/23 so...1

I didn't have a price rise in April like I expected either, which would have been 15 months into my 18 month contact which ends in July.
I'm wondering if they deliberately didn't as they saw that as a risk to someone who could leave them in a few months at renewal. Wondering if I'll get this price rise now too.
I do notice they've actually added more discounts to my account automatically from the end of my contract which weren't there last month so the end of contract price rise there isn't as drastic on my future bills... Definitely being cleverer than they used to be with price rises.1 -

That is the only discount that has rolled over - Sports back up to £32 when i was paying £16, and HD up to £9 when i was paying £6, had no discount on the Multiscreen which remains at £15... that´s my total package, so room for some more discount hopefully... if not sports will go for sure.0 -

I still played the cancellation card despite such an email, and negotiated last December - got the price back down to its previous level ! (tho' its gone up by £5pm in April)0 -

They don't always extend all of your discounts either, just the main ones. By the time people have noticed they're under a new 18 month contract paying full whack for add-ons with no leverage.
I don’t know why Sky is allowed to get away with this sort of marketing. What happened to a simple email saying that your contract ends on the 1st September and your new monthly price will £xx a month. Hiding the detail under confusing claims of savings helps no one. It is tiresome having to go through the same negotiating process every 18 months. I just wish that there was a competitor available to everyone.
