Why not just read the UKCPS Piccadilly no stopping group thread from last year?

It's all covered there (photos of letters, the lot). No-one here pays or responds to ex-clampers UKCPS or their DRA bullyboy mates.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Can I just ask, is it general policy on MSE to appeal every PCN? No one ever seems to assume that the PCN was properly served. Perhaps OP in this instance was at fault?
You seem to be suggesting that the £100 punishment for stopping to let a passenger leave the car is ok.

The costs of stopping momentarily is certainly no where near £100.
In other words, that £100 charge is a penalty - plain and simple.

Is there anything in English law that allows a private company to charge a penalty for anything?
I wasn’t saying that you were at fault. In fact I can’t see that there’s any mention in your initial post as to how you came to receive the PCN, you’ve simply headed ‘back of Piccadilly’. And no prior mention either to the amount of the charge until now.
Regardless of whether you’re at fault or not, I agree that’s an outrageous amount, but perhaps not unexpected for Central London
There's more than one 'Piccadilly' in the country!  Try Central Manchester.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think you really should look around this forum and get real.
Also, we keep reiterating to victims on here get your facts right and don't assume anything which you seem to be doing.
One other point to note the MSE stands for Money Saving Expert, not give away your cash to any old dodger that concocts ways of scamming people to fund their next Range Rover.
