Has anyone managed to get the First Direct bonus a second time around?

April 2021 I Applied and got the First Direct bonus and the 6 month leaving bonus. I’m thinking chancing it to see if I could get the bonus again. I know their t&c’s state you can’t but just wondering as I know it works with the NatWest/RBS/Ulster group. So has any of you managed to get the First Direct bonus with in the time frame that states you can’t in their t&c’s?

First Direct are notorious for their memory and for not allowing people who left to return if my memory from reading posts here.
Quite possibly you can do HSBC & FD switches (even though they say you can’t, it doesn’t seem to be that strict even within the time frame)
But going back to FD for another bonus probably not2 -
As above, HSBC have a reputation for being picky about who they take as customers, and FD have a reputation for having long memories... I've seen people say they've gotten a FD incentive after previously having held an account, but that is for people who have held really old accounts in the past (I'm talking decades) rather than just 2 years prior. By all means try, but I definitely wouldn't expect to get it.3

I've had a switching incentive from first direct in December 2018... They were giving out tech, they sent me a different wireless speaker to what they were offering due to supply issues which they exchanged for £130 after speaking to customer services and sending the wrong speaker back to them. I've switched to them again for they're most recent £175 incentive and got it, although I didn use a different email address and mobile number.
My wife got £100 for switching to First Direct in February 2021 and got the £175 this time around too, but again using a different email address and mobile number and also different surname as we got married since the first switch.2 -
Their terms state you can’t get the incentive if you had an account since jan 2020. You say you last had one 2018. Yet your wife since in 2021 and I’m sure they’d have known about her name change? Maybe it’s worth taking a punt to see if I get it?0

I tried on the off-chance.....and failed1

I didn't even try...and succeeded.I opened my original FD account before they started offering switch incentives, and have never bothered trying to get one as their terms usually state you can't have even held an account with them previously. Anyway, last year I opened a new current account with them in order to open a Regular Saver, and was surprised some time later to get the £25 welcome bonus. I've held several accounts with them previously (one being 2 years prior), though never at this address, so maybe they just didn't connect the dots1

Other than those existing customers who received the tailored email offering them an incentive to switch as an existing customer I can't think of any poster on here who said they have received a second incentive.

I didn't expect to receive them and I don't usually try if the T&C's say I'm not eligible but after me and my wife got 5 out of 6 £200 switch bonuses from NatWest/RBS/Ulster (I didn't get the NatWest as I closed my Help to buy ISA with them a few weeks prior to applying so I guess they still had me on file) which we weren't eligible for any of them as we switched a joint account to NatWest in 2018 for their £125 bonus. And also succeeding at some and failing at some Halifax and Lloyds bonuses when we weren't eligible I thought why not, got nothing to lose giving it a go again.
My switch to HSBC completed in the last few days, not eligible for the £200 bonus as I got the First Direct bonus recently but I'll keep my fingers crossed.1 -
