You read the wrong section of advice. Clearly that image is a CLAIM FORM not a LBC.
You didn't defend a Court Claim. Huge mistake.
So unfortunately you didn't follow the NEWBIES advice. Ignored a claim and got a CCJ.
Up to you if you try for a set aside. You'd have to hope for a kindly Judge. Look at our advice above.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't think so.kountzero said:would the sticky about having an unknown ccj help in getting it set asside?
You received a Claim. You ignored the instructions on it.
Please read again my post of 9 May at 7:53PM.0 -
Of course because that's the process to follow - N244 form (and an application for Help with Fees).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do you have any impairment or disability that affects your cognitive abilities? If you do and you are eligible to have your fees waived, then you should try for a set aside under CPR13.3.1(a) and 13.3.1(b)(i) if you can reason why you did not submit your defence.1

Well ive got chronic spinal issues, arthritis in every major joint, fibro, thoracic outlet syndrome and am on so many painkilling meds that you could tranquilise a rino.I struggle to absorb information due to the fibro fog and the side effects of the meds and i have chronic depressive dissorder. The above is why my replies on here are so haphazard. Getting a clear head to formulate a reply has to work around that, im sorry. How would i go about that proceedure B789? Is it through the County Court Business Center? Bear in mind, my telephone skills are appauling so would need to be through email. Is that an option. Thanks for all the advice so far, even if im more head *"d than before i started.0

I will wait to see what the other, more experienced, members advise but I would hazard a guess that, subject to your disabilities being acceptable as a reason for the failure to respond to the original claim in the correct manner, and your eligibility to have the fees waived based on your financial circumstances, you would file your set aside order with the assistance of the experts on here.kountzero said:Well ive got chronic spinal issues, arthritis in every major joint, fibro, thoracic outlet syndrome and am on so many painkilling meds that you could tranquilise a rino.I struggle to absorb information due to the fibro fog and the side effects of the meds and i have chronic depressive dissorder. The above is why my replies on here are so haphazard. No one on this forum wants to see the scamming PPCs receive a penny from their victims, even if those victims have failed to follow the necessary steps to avoid it. However, in circumstances such as yours, it is even more galling to see the PPCs walk away with their ill-gotten gains.1 -
You just Google & find the form to apply for Help with Fees and the N244. Or get a family member to phone the CCBC on your behalf whilst you are with them, and get CCBC to email you the forms.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
