Saving on boosting my WiFi signal

I was with BT on their broadband complete service. This meant I paid them £5 extra a month to have a disc that boosted my WiFi signal. I was paying nearly £80 per month to BT. When my 24 month contract expired I went to them to see if they could give me a deal. First they wanted to carry on charging me nearly £80 per month. After a couple calls and they reduce my monthly payment to £54 per month. I shopped around and found everything I got from BT except the booster disc for £33 per month. After reading the article about boosting your broadband speed I found out I could buy a WiFI booster for £15. So now have everything that BT used to provide. So over the next 24 months I’m saving about £1100 if I had never bother haggling with them, and £480 even from haggling.

Welcome to money saving
That was a truly atrocious price you were paying BTW.1 -

You never mentioned the (technical) specifications of the package you are on. Presumably BT are (re)selling an Openreach product and, in that case, you should have plenty of options available to you (from other providers). Most people will be on some variant of Openreach's FTTC service, in which case you shouldn't be paying more than mid-£20s - less if you stack cashback and/or comparison site deals.0
