Ok, so I got the right length of inlet hose, but that drain hose won’t do without dismantling the whole machine.
Gonna order this, which looks like a proper extension kit, rather than a whole new hose?

Yep. that is the right thing although is a bit expensive but will arrive pretty quickly form Amazon. My son's dishwasher was over 2m from his sink and we used 2 m inlet and outlet extensions and they worked fine.
