I hope this post doesn’t fall foul of any forum rules and I won’t mention any usernames here but I’m trying to figure out what the right thing is to do.
What’s the correct procedure if one was to identify users who have reappeared after previously being permanently excluded from the forum multiple times? There are a couple of prolific offenders who return time after time and are easily identifiable but somehow seem to escape official action until they say something in itself that warrants the boot (again!).
I know the advice is to block users but when you know they will eventually cause havoc and in some cases provide shockingly bad advice that innocent new forum members may listen to, it’s difficult to turn a blind eye.

As marcia_ says, just report when relevant - or send an email to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com
We look carefully at all reports and do act where there is evidence of rule breaches.
It's not always the case that there is sufficient information available straight away to confirm that someone is using multiple accounts, but in many cases after a while we have enough bits of the jigsaw to be confident to take appropriate steps.

I’ve noticed another repeat ‘offender’. The user (Removed by Forum Team) is 100% previous users (Removed by Forum Team). I’ve called them out a couple of times but realise I probably shouldn’t be doing that. Is it worth even reporting them?2

I’ll take the amendment above as a slap on the wrist 😳. My apologies.
It’s difficult to keep quiet when certain people are constantly posting shockingly misleading content. It’s really not fair on new and unsuspecting users to the forum.2 -
Please do always report when you suspect a rule breach - but as mentioned above:
"It's not always the case that there is sufficient information available straight away to confirm that someone is using multiple accounts, but in many cases after a while we have enough bits of the jigsaw to be confident to take appropriate steps."
So if you don't see immediate action, it doesn't mean we are not joining the dots and preparing to act when we have sufficient information.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com2
