Selling Foreign Currency?
Options

For various reasons I've collected quite a bit of unusual currencies over the past few years and while I could just hold it and hopefully spend it at some point it's getting to the point where there's probably two or three grand accumulated so I'm thinking that maybe it might be better to sell it. However looking around there don't seem to be too many options to sell currency back at decent rates especially for more rare currencies (I think the biggest chunk is in Philippines Pesos, Brazil Reals and Vietnam Dong but there's a few other Asian currencies too and the odd bit here and there from Europe)
Any suggestions?
Normally I buy currency from the currency club and they look like a decent option to buy the PHP back at least but I'm slightly reluctant to post £1500 in cash! Not sure how safe that would be.
What do people do with their unusual currencies?
Any suggestions?

I think it inevitable that you will need to post currency to get a reasonable rate. Check out different options for insured postal or courier services.
Alternatively, see your stash of foreign banknotes as your excuse for a world tour! Vietnam and the Philippines are easy to combine, although fitting in Brazil as well could be tricky.0 -

What do people do with their unusual currencies?I always get rid of minor currencies before leaving the country, IME even airports in minor currency countries give reasonable exchange rates, far better than you'd get here if you can even find somewhere to accept it. Alternatively save it for next time you're in the area even if not in the country itself. I had a little in Ukrainian currency in my wallet for ages, couldn't change it here or even in most Eastern Europe countries (and this was before the war so nothing to do with that), until I was in Moldova where they did take it.But the obvious way is not to withdraw more cash than you need, I've never had more than £50 or so left over.0
