There are two recent threads on this Site Feedback board that, no matter how many times I read them, they always have the
flag set.
They are not straightforward run of the mill threads but nevertheless they should conform to convention - that convention being that once read they are no longer marked as
.
Both have been marked as 'Closed'.
One is an 'Announcement' and the other is a 'Moved' thread.
Here are those threads...

and...

I believe that having once read either of those threads then the marker should be removed - just as it would with any ordinary thread and indeed exactly how it happens with any other 'closed' or 'Announcement' thread.

Ah...
Looks like the Starling thread I mentioned has now been deleted. Problem solved - for that thread at least.0 -
Just to point out that this problem still exists after the most recent software update.
Currently, this thread...
... is showing on the Site Feedback board marked as Closed.
You can also see that the NEW indicator is on.
This thread has been moved to the Credit Cards board.
No matter how many times I click on that thread in the Site Feedback board and read the content, the NEW indicator remains on.
As an aside... despite the text, that thread was not started by MSE_ForumTeam2. That is misleading. Could easily be interpreted as some sort of authoritative statement by an MSE official.0 -
I get the same issue. I even tried clicking on the thread from the Credit Cards thread list (to see if that would trigger the "read" marker) but to no avail.Jenni x1

I predict that on Monday morning someone at MSE towers will delete the entry currently marked Closed and all will appear to be in good order. That is exactly what happened last time.1

...has vanished.
Will more manual intervention be needed to get rid of these two?...
...again I notice, both threads allegedly started by MSE_ForumTeam2.0 -

These copies will get removed after a few days.
The two mentioned above should be removed in due course.Bob0 -
