Just a warning Homeprotect Insurance ( buildings and contents ) are the worst company i have ever dealt with . At least 80mins to answer calls , no email responses . Check reviews for claims and auto renew Not sales as they have manned sales phones and they are cheap but once you have paid , hard luck . BUYER BEWARE as cheap insurance can be bad insurance .

Completely agree with Tony23 , I came to renew my Homeprotect buildings policy for third year. I had no renewal notice before renewal . Phoned 4 times and given different excuses until finally got a quote 14 days before renewal ...policy gone up from £362 to £1080 ! I told them on phone not to auto renew ,which was accepted . I also emailed the company telling them not to auto renew. My policy was auto renewed and £1080 was taken from my bank. I called five times and was being told it had to be investigated by complaints department but I could not talk to complaints department and my lengthy emails were AI auto responded to. Finally I emailed CEO twice without acknowledgement but suddenly received a letter telling me that I hadn`t cancelled auto renew (which was not true and I had written evidence ) but they would refund the £1080. The service was unacceptable and I will not use Homeprotect again . Sharp practice would be an understatement . THIS IS A COMPANY TO AVOID.
