    ... I don't think that's an option ... you should get a notification if you are a creator of a thread (top right of the page, 'Notifications' turns red with a number) and if you use a username preceded by an '@' that contributor should get a notification.

    edit: @bigpat e-mails and pop-ups personalisable in profile ... see @Eco_Miser comment next ...

    Edit your profile (icon at top right, then red dropdown), click on Notification Preferences, then there's a whole list of events you can get emails about, or pop-ups about.

    It's not encryption. It's addressable RAM space - 2^32 vs 2^64
    It's also instruction set. Some CPU instructions, particularly those associated with hardware-based encryption, require a 64-bit address space, which is the root cause of modern apps not running in 32-bit compatibility mode.
