Garden Land

I think the responses so far have made it clear there is no such thing as a 'fair price'. There are too many variables.

It very much depends if you are happy with that. How much is your house worth, and how much is the total plot size? Also, is there anything else you can do with the land, or is it just spare so you wouldn't feel you had lost out on garden space by letting it go

Given what you've said so far, though, £1,000 doesn't sound like an overly generous offer.

My initial thought is that that is far too little. Even forgetting the value of the land, I would not want to get involved in quite a complicated transaction for so little. YMMV.
Just for comparison, valuing 9 sq m of building land (at say £5m per acre) gives a figure of £11,000. Of course, land where you are might go for considerably less, and of course it's currently garden land, but that gives some idea.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
