DCB Legal called me to negotiate... court date soon.. need advice!

In 2016 I parked outside my fathers house in a private estate... usually I would put out a visitors permit but for the life of me I cannot remember whether I put it out or not 7 years ago!
Fast forward a few years and I have moved houses etc and have received a letter from UKPC / DCB Legal for a parking fine however showing no pictures or evidence of the car etc.... I ignored this and they have taken me to small claims.
I have followed the newbies thread and filed a defense for the claim requesting evidence of breach of contract etc... I have had no reply or mediation and the matter has been taken to court.
I again followed the newbies thread and filed a Witness Statement with the main statement explaining that it is my fathers address with evidence and we usually have a visitors permit... also shown evidence the the claim is 7 years old and the UKPC website does not hold or show the evidence for this.
I have now recently received a call from DCB Legal for mediation in which they have stated they have the evidence of pictures of the car which I believe to be true and have asked to settle the claim for £200 opposing to the £316 via court or for me to make a counteroffer.
I am in two minds here to make a counter offer and just call it quits rather than going to court but at the same time I have spent so long on this forum researching and building my case that I feel like I should just go to court. Note the claimant has not yet paid the court fee which is dew in 2 weeks.
So advice is what should I do next?
Try work out a mediation outside of court or take it to court as I have already come this far and have filed my witness statement etc.
@Coupon-mad also wanted to say thanks for the great resources available so far!

Don’t pay the scamming duo of UKPC/DCB Legal a penny. If you’ve used the robust defence templates from here and filed everything correctly, you can expect them to discontinue shortly. Have a read of this thread to see the predicted outcome of most of this Bottom-Dwelling duo:
DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS
As they have started the claim within 6 years of the date of the parking event, they were able to start the claim. It only times out if the don’t start the claim within 6 years.
Don’t talk with them and just wait for the discontinuation.

Dates are critical here. What is the date of the parking and what is the date of the claim form? If these are more than 6 years apart then the claim is statute barred.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

There will be no hearing.
You will not pay a penny unless you blink now.
Stop thinking of offering money. Of course the parking firm has some photos, they always do!
Poker-face them and make sure to do YOUR witness statement in good time (see your hearing order for your deadline, and see the NEWBIES thread for what to do when) and they will discontinue.

Why do you think these greedy people have tried to make a deal with a lower offer if they are sure they have a water tight case to get the maximum they asked for?

I hope you told them to poke it.
