You don't get anything from the court. You have the Notice of Discontinuance. You won!Hi all, quick update on this one as we have just received the Notice of discontinuance through from DCB Legal. Court fee was due on the 8th Jan, just waiting on the confirmation from the court now.
Thanks to all involved with putting the guidance together on this site and Happy New Year!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
...calling @Umkomaas to add your success to the list of DCB Legal discontinuances.
And GreenhoffPlease find time to do this new Justice Committee Inquiry in the next fortnight!
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80375249/#Comment_80375249The Committee invites evidence on:• What the current level of delay in the County Court is
• The ways in which the County Court engages with litigants in person, and how this could be improved
• The causes of action giving rise to claims in the County Court
• What future reforms to the County Court should be considered.
Please also state that private parking firms and their bulk litigators are the main problem as far as small claims delays are concerned, as the dominate and clog up court lists. The MoJ must now be informed to urgently separate parking cases with a new pre-action protocol (requiring use of ADR instead of inflated debt demands and bulk litigators who want court). It should be a last resort but litigation is the first aim of DCB Legal. They state in various articles that bulk litigation is their company aim.
Tell the Committee about your claim and show the Claim Form and the Discontinuance. And show them the link to Umkomaas' thread of over 220 discontinuances by DCB Legal in just over a year.
Tell the Inquiry that your case has ruined your peace of mind (and that of elderly family members) for ages, only for DCB Legal to walk away when you didn't blink.
This treatment of motorists should be illegal.
The 'debt claims pre-action protocol' is not fit for purpose for these cases. Please strongly OBJECT to this and ask the Committee to insist on a proper ADR and 'private parking protocol' to resolve disputes and expose the worst scam PCNs out of court.
Please add your voice. Please answer the questions and show the delay in your case - claim form to discontinuance. This inquiry is currently accepting evidenceThe committee wants to hear your views. We welcome submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence.
You have until Wednesday 17 January 2024 to make a submission to the committee.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just writing this up. 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
