Think I may need a new part now. Trying to cut through without damaging the spindle isn’t easy with an angle grinder.

The nut undoes easily now I can get to it. Wasn’t that tight.
The bumper screw cap should really have a metal thread insert of some kind to stop it spinning like it did.
Would’ve been ok if loosened and retightened occasionally.
