Thames Water - shared supply with next door - best options

in Water bills
Hi All,
So I beleive my water supply is shared with my next door neighbour. They had a new bathroom fitted last year, and the plumber turned off the water from under the pathway on the street outside both our houses - and it turned off my water too. I also have a stopcock under my sink though and have had a water meter fitted.
I have a hot water cylinder in my bathroom and two tanks in the loft. I would love to get rid of them and just have a combi boiler but have been told that might result in rubbish water presure, especially upstairs - the bathroom already needs a pump on the shower. I have however found out that my neighbours do already have a combi boiler and no issues with pressure.
My neighbours are also just about to do a side extension to their kitchen, and I wonder if that will affect anything further.
I am just wondering what the options could be here. I'm on good terms with the neighbours and want to be able to offer suggestions on how to best sort this out.
Thoughts?
