Happy moment of the day. Notification popped up from monzo saying I've spent a lot less so far this month than I had this date last month. Yayyy.0

Well done on spending less! With Cabot i just set up a direct debit online, it was very easy to do. Perhaps you can do the same?0

I have argued with myself for the entire day. Got £50 from yougov surveys. My head says it should go into my car pot. Heart says go for the Chinese meal with everyone from work on Saturday night because if I don't go ill end up splurging on something else to console myself. Then my tumble dryer broke down so my third option is to put it in my emergency pot.Feel a bit flummoxed n fed up.0

My vote would be go for the Chinese; if you never go it will be good to go and you need to enjoy yourself sometimes as well as pay off debt xMFW 2025 #50: £1139.75/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

I agree have the chinese, then if any change is left pop it in a pot. You need to live too, and you sound like you would like to go1

Yea I'm going for the meal. I've realised I can fix the washing machine myself. I've also got more than enough groceries for this week so only need bread and milk.I got another £50 from ylive surveys today and £10 from prolific so there's some to put in the car pot as well.
Having a lazy wine drinking late night in bed watching movies tonight. Have a day where I can lie in tomorrow ...First time in ages ...it feels like a treat1 -
Enjoy!! I did yougov many yeara ago, but you make it sound like i need to join up again. Although I know it takes time to build the pots0

Well I officially hate spending money. March has been an expensive month so far and has once again proved to me that I'm a bit of an addict where spending is concerned. If I let the reins out just a little bit, it's hard to pull them back in.I went to the Chinese and really enjoyed it so I don't feel bad about that. But then yesterday, still on a bit of a high because I had enjoyed myself, I went to a different supermarket than usual to grocery shop, list in hand, but got drawn in to browsing mode and splurged on a spring wreath for the front door, a not budgeted for but on offer bottle of gin, luxury tonics and four ridiculously expensive Easter eggs for adult family members. Must stick to the tried and tested routine from now on to stop this happening again. Also had to pay my water bill which has gone up by a silly amount from last year, but at least that came out of a saved for pot, not on the credit card. Last march I was struggling so much I actually had to split the payment ( only for half the year) over three credit cards! So although I've defaulted and am waiting to get the dmp going, I would argue that I'm in a better position this year. After a beautifully sunny day yesterday, we are shrouded in damp, thick cloud this morning. I live rurally and high up ...if you go down the road a couple of miles you'd be beneath it. Hopefully it will move on and brighten up a little later as the dogs need a good long walk today. So do I. Yesterday was spent being a domestic goddess and then a lazy couple of hours reading in the garden sipping newly acquired gin.One good find yesterday was a book I wanted. It's no longer in print and selling for £23 to £65 on various marketplaceamazonfacebookebay kind of sites. World of books had it for £5 in vgc with free postage . So hopefully I can easily resell when I've read it. Mind you it's over 900 pages I think so it will not be any time soon.I think that's it for now. Frothy coffee time.0
