It depends if they will be looking for the council to rehouse them afterwards as they will tell them not to move until the baliffs turn up. The recent rises in rent prices along with the reducing number of private landlords means the chances of them staying increases.ThisIsWeird said:Just because it is tenanted doesn't mean that there's going to be delays beyond the usual to serve notice. Most tenants aren't going to cause problems, as this will likely count against them when seeking a new place to rent - they'll hardly come with glowing references, will they? - and, in any event, most folk are just decent.
But, yes, the standard 'vacant possession', and a physical check of the flat immediately before completion.

They have £625K to spend on a 3 bed flat, why would they want a tiny 1 bed flat for £225K ???Sarah1Mitty2 said:
This one has been reduced by 50k, is there anything wrong with it?Burtbot said:I live in Stratford! You can totally buy 3 bed houses for your budget. My experience is also this. Most tenants will leave without complaint. The ones that tend to cause issue are the ones in receipt of benefits as the council will tell them not to leave without a court order.lesalanos said:

I wouldn't recommend this one if you're looking for a 3 bed, you will be getting in each other's way all the timeSarah1Mitty2 said:

I think it was purely to highlight the discounted price. As you know, the house market is crashing uncontrollably at the moment, the £50k off is just the tip of the iceberg!!!mi-key said:

The fact the OP is spending almost 3x the amount of the listing is, apparently, irrelevant.....2 -
True, as normal with crashys posts, they have no bearing to the original post, or are remotely helpful !warwick2001 said:

Lovely descriptive prose -I can almost see it.theartfullodger said:
Buying with tenants is entirely legal, OK, quite common. But even if, after purchase, you are outside in the car with 3 screaming kids, incontinent Rottweiler and emotionally collapsing partner plus removals van tenants have every right to remain.
As others have said - Snog Marry AVOID until it's vacant possession.
Oh and which one is crashy - sarah2 or warwick or both?0
