I'm hoping it's just an error then.
Would they know if I went over the 6k savings limit temporarily? I don't know if they can see that but just paranoid about it now even though some of the money was from the other cost of living payments. Not sure when they judge that you've spent those and in any case it says it doesn't count towards the spending cap so may not have gone over at all.
Well seeing as I got £800 from colp total would you have a certain period that the savings allowance was £6800 now? May be misunderstanding it but hoping it didn't flag up or something?
I wouldn't have thought they'd stop payment altogether for that anyway.
Thank you.I just re-read that. Are you saying that you didn't spend the Previous CoL payments and that has resulted in you having a balance of over £6K?
(not including this months payments). If that is the case then if it hasn't been spent it would now be savings, and so would reduce your benefits payments, It shouldn't stop them though until it reaches £16K.0 -

(It would undoubtedly cost them more if they used more than one system). And the fact that CoL payments can turn up throught the day says that they are using Faster Payment to make them. When your bank shows that faster payment as arriving is the bank and not the DWP.1 -

What i'm saying is that not all CoL payments are made through the faster payment system. Both mine and my daughters £301 last week had DWP COL next to the payment.

If further data is any help, my first payment was evidently a manual one, just saying 'DWP C O L'; the subsequent ones have been '{NINO} DWP COL'.
[I don't know which payment system(s) allow manual vs automated, not a clue.]0 -
All my COL payments went in at 12.25 am on the dot and are marked as BACS/BGC payments. Same for my boyfriend also all BACS/BGC. All my payments were also DWP COL with no NInumber. I think BGC is bank giro credit. The same payment method for my ESA and PIP. In total me and my BF 6 COL payments and none were FP. If they do pay that way then it isn't common.0

This thread is from May. The only way to get this resolved is to ring them. Do you have someone that can do that for you? you will need to go through security and then pass the phone onto them.
