Pre book transfer from airport to hotel (return) or get an Uber/Lyft.

Looking at roughly $180 return for booking transport to/from airport to hotel, looking at Uber and lyft and it's approx $35 - $40 one way, so will be half the cost of booking the transport. 5 adults and 1 child (10) each with a suitcase, so has to be XL to cater for us.
Anyone have experience of this.
Thanks you

Do the hotel have a tie-in with any taxi service? If yes, what’s their charge? We’ve had similar pickups in NY (a stretched limo for just the two of us as he was off to another job afterwards) and various locations around Europe.0

In simple financial terms the answer is obvious, but in terms of whether it's wise or if anyone has experience then this will probably depend on where you're going....0

Going to Orlando, Florida and no tie ins with hotel for transport.

The higher cost of the booked transfer presumably means that your transport is confirmed, booked ready for you and the driver meeting you inside the terminal or at a specific meeting point.
uber/Lyft is more ad-hoc and demand dependant. Heavy rain, busy arrivals time, you may experience delays in obtaining a ride.
Take your choice.0
