Ryanair Refunds

Hello all. I have been having an ongoing 'discussion' with Ryanair since last October following a delayed flight. At first they lost my application (submitted via their website so I don't have a copy) and now they are asking for all my bank details (allegedly for identification purposes), together with a copy of my passport, before they will progress the claim. That doesn't seem correct to me.

Has anyone else experienced this?
