Home from holiday. Suitcase unpacked, laundry done. Today I am going to empty my bedroom ready to have a new carpet fitted next week. My plan is to empty everything out except the bed, then I can still sleep in there. I’m dreading the mess it is going to make in the rest of the house.8

Morning all.
I spent most of yesterday in bed, feeling sick and headachy, and thought I was better this morning (I've eaten some breakfast) but the headache is still grumbling
I have filled the DW, washed up 3 things by hand, FUPA clean washing, PUPA various other bits around the house (I 'asked' DH to deal with his own things), made my bed, wrapped up my little godson's birthday present which I must post by 11.30, and given the dogwalker a cake out of the freezer - Rosie didn't get a walk yesterday, so was very pleased to see her.
Still trying to knock the cane toad on the head, but finding it difficult to get my brain into gear...7 -
Hope you feel better now Iona.Better day here today, I've dried some washing on the line including bedding. Got my daughter's dog for the bank holiday weekend so I'll be mostly wandering slowly (usually in the rain) round while he sniffs every blade of grass!7

Wow its been fairly quiet while I've been away! Hope you're feeling better now Iona.
I have done no flying at all. Got back late yesterday and crashed on the sofa as I was shattered, had a migraine and didn't cook dinner. I suggested they fend for themselves, so they didn't eat!
Today has been really busy at work and I brought my laptop home to finish up a couple of bits and put in my expenses claim before my hols next week and I've just finished.
I have DGS tomorrow from 0830 until bedtime and I haven't even found my passport or suitcase yet and we leave Sunday lunchtime. The rest of this evening will be finances, but they've had a boost as the insurance company paid for the iPad repair less my excess.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
paid some bills, took DD1's children home, did a shop for the week, cooked dinner and spent 3 hours in A&E with Squeak and her poorly tummy.. good news is it is not appedicitis.. School have asked if Dot can not be taken in any morning the week of the SATs and she can sit them 1-2-1 in the afternoon.. I'm too tired to think about this..
Iona.. I hope you're all mended
I'm bossing OH to make a cuppa and heading to my nest. xxx

Good morning all,
It’s very quiet on here, but I am as guilty as the next person for not keeping up. Is it just me, or is time running away? Has someone sped my clocks and calendars up, as I can see no other way that it is a) Saturday again b) nearly May and c) I still haven’t done one iota of flying in the past week. Even the old stalwart of running the washing machine has been neglected.
I would like to say that the reset starts here, but here am I, not dressed, looking at the dust in the LR, first cuppa slurped, and not feeling enthused by the thought of spending the morning tackling maybe 2 foot of very muddy ground in a vain attempt to get ready to plant potatoes and onions which should have been planted ages ago.
Maybe a list will help. In a notebook, just because I have them. Anyone up and about to join me with my second cuppa?7 -
morning
i’m here Fayolle. just had tablet, waiting time, coffee and more tablets. My stomach hurts from coughing. Most exercise i’ve had for weeks. Put work washing through. 3 loads.
Am debating a visit to the local animal rescue which still have a parrot. I’ve always wanted a parrot.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I'm here Fayolle 👋 Bet the kettle is cold now.
No worries. I'm going back to bed to get out of the other side. It's worth a try 🤷♀️
