Broadband install cuts off phone line for 84yr old in-laws

Outcome:
VM agreed no way to provide new calls only package without broadband, so new contract was cancelled. I ended up reactivating an old Sipgate.Co.uk voip account I had, and set up an adaptor to use it.
I can only imagine when my FiL was going through screens he thought it was asking about a New line being required, as he just assumed transfer of existing broadband would include 'his' line.
All sorted now, and this is no dig at anyone's age, but fact is some are getting confused and thus bad outcomes.1
