Can you put a timer on your home shower?

What about an alarm that goes off every 3mins?
That would be annoying enough after a while.
An alarm that goes off after three minutes and then keeps beeping loudly, and that can only be switched off by getting out of the shower and walking over to the other side of the room. 😈

I would have thought that a digital timer switch should exist (possibly not a waterproof one at a sensible price though) but it would have to be able to handle the high amperage of an instantaneous electric shower.
It's probably cheaper just to pay the bills (or fit an external switch so that you can kill it from outside the room  >:) )

Rated for 8KW, but those Chinese relays are often over optimistically rated. I wouldn't trust it to switch 40A... Also wouldn't recommend Tuya stuff as they can be problematic flashing custom firmware (if you care about that sort of thing).

Edit - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134006098738 might do the job if integrated in to a home automation system. And some info about custom firmware - https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic3934580.html (also looks like Tasmota supports some of these devices).

A cheaper option would be to play Beehoven's 5th on full blast after the allotted time.
If it's teens that should do the trick.
I stopped the annoying music from a disfunctional family across the road by setting up loud classical music in the garden. I warned the nice neighbours first.
Only took 2 goes before they learned to close the window.

Some of us enjoy the classics.
Apocalyptica might be a bit more effective. :D Just wind the volume up to 11.

I thought all electric showers already had a master switch outside of the bathroom?

It can also be a cord pull (ceiling mounted).
