Jet2 work disruption notification

Hi
I was just wondering what people's experiences are with being notified by Jet2 of nearby works possibly impacting holiday plans.
I booked a short break online just over 2 weeks ago, travelling next week. The booking process was standard and no potential problems flagged up.
2 days ago Jet2 emailed me to say that apartment construction work next to the hotel is lasting longer than expected and whilst the level of disturbance has increased they don't expect it to impact my stay and I don't need to contact them.
I'm a little bummed about this as the wording of the email suggests the situation has not suddenly arisen but nothing was noted when I made the booking.
A holiday maker in the area has advised the noise levels can be quite loud and constant some days which would be a real dampener.
In all my years travelling I don't remember this happening on any of my previous trips.
I'm not going to be in the hotel 24/7 and I know the work will finish at a certain time but I was definitely looking forward to having some relaxing pool time which now may not happen.
If anyone else has been in this situation can you offer any useful advice please?
I will contact Jet2 for more info but I'm unsure what my options will be in this instance.

Thanks @eskbanker - the wording of their email certainly does suggest that to me.
It's a bit frustrating that if they were aware of the works at the time of booking they didn't give any indication of it.
Obviously, they can't control what happens outside the hotel but, if they knew, a heads up would have prompted me to consider somewhere else.0 -
But if the work had been scheduled to finish by the time you went, there was no need for them to alert you to it when booking, and it's only the fact that it's overrun that now brings it into play.1

That's a point although I'm a little dubious on the email wording, it's just a little off to me. Someone nearby has just told me this work has been going on for the last year.
Jet2 offered to postpone my brother and his wife's holiday from last December due to work nearby so it seems hit and miss what they will offer or not.
*Edited to add - I spoke to Jet2, they have 3 stages of notification - stage 1, which is my situation, is a nice to know communication, stage 2 is an offer of accommodation or date change with the £50 admin fee waived and stage 3 is necessary accommodation change.
The adviser said it would be helpful if nearby work did flag up as it doesn't show up for them when processing bookings over the phone.0 -
A few years ago we had notification from our tour operator of building work where we were staying. Fortunately it was a large development and we were rarely aware of the noise at all. In the OPs instance, it appears the building work overran so there was no reason for Jet2 to advise them of the building work at the time of bookin.

Depends on location. If its promoted as a peace and quiet resort and there may be construction noise it is probably quite appropriate to raise it as a potential issue.
However if its a city break I wouldn't expect it. There is no mention on the Jet2 website that the city break hotel I have just been to was on the flightpath of the airport (runway can be seen from the rootop pool!) with aircraft noise between 6am and midnight.0 -

I'll just keep my fingers crossed the impact is minimal.0 -
