Just received notification from Creation about this:
We’re Creation, the finance company behind your IHG One Rewards Club Credit Card. We need to tell you that the relationship between Creation Financial Services and IHG® Hotels and Resorts is coming to an end on 27 June 2023.
On 28 June 2023, you’ll move over to the Creation Credit Card.

Sounds like:
A) It wasn't worth it for both parties after the whole curve fiasco or they (IHG) found a new credit card partner - although if this were the case, they would have announced it

You might want to check out this thread when Creation terminated their agreement with ASDA.

It is a shame the ihg credit card is going.Am hoping a new provider affiliates with ihg - as long as it isn't Jaja (who co-incidentally now run the ASDA credit card)!0

Personally, I think Chase (who coincidentally run the co-branded cards in the US) is the preferred provider, but I highly doubt that the first UK credit card they launch is a co-branded one - but you never know.
If you don't mind me asking, what is wrong with JaJa finance?0 -

If you don't mind me asking, what is wrong with JaJa finance?I, like many former Post Office credit card holders who were transferred to Jaja are having our accounts closed by Jaja. See the following thread for details:I work on the theory that if they don't want me, then I don't want them.

See the following thread for details:I work on the theory that if they don't want me, then I don't want them. You're clearly taking a decision which you acknowledge to be commercial and widesweeping very personally, but you might end up cutting off your nose to spite your face.We have no idea whether Jaja have more affinity arrangements in the pipeline, leave alone one with IHG specifically, but if they do then it's entirely plausible that cutting off unprofitable or less profitable chunks of their existing customer base was a neccessary bit of bloodletting to make that so. They are smaller provider and only have so much credit they can possibly dish out.1 -
Does anyone know, if you email and ask them to close your IHG creation credit card (as per email), does it close immediately or wait until June ?
I don't want to transfer to a non rewards card with Creation, but do want to maximise earning IHG points before then.

Had the card for about 3 years - seem to recall I took it out not long before lockdown while thinking of all the trips I could take... didn't quite work out that way of course. But, after saying that, it's been a really good card for me, and I've certainly done well out of the points.
Seems that the good times are over though! {Sigh}0 -

I read that a 10K annual spend on IHG Creation effectively gets you about £40 worth of hotel discount. We've switched to Chase debit cards, 1% interest in current account, 1% cashback on debit card spend and 3.1% from their savings account. Aiming to get about £130 in 12 months. We are very fortunate that we can afford to pay most things by debit card but still have a credit card from our primary bank for larger purchases and anything that might need the protection a credit card gives with £100+ transactions.
