Credit card transfer from MBNA to Nationwide

Hi Superhoopza - money arrived today after leaving my nationwide card on the 29th! I checked everyday and nothing so I am pleasantly surprised that it’s actually there as I genuinely thought this was going to be an absolute pain and that I’d have to constantly chase up!
I’ve not transferred anything to a nationwide card so can’t comment on that I’m afraid! Hope you get sorted soon!0 -

Can you recall which postal address you provider to Nationwide for MBNA? Yes money has been added to my nationwide balance so I'm anticipating it taking another week to get sorted. Nationwide also sent the wrong balance amount manually to another provider annoyingly after confirming the amount three times, the amount processed was still missing a digit.0 -
6 working days passed and no update. I called nationwide who just spouted that I had to wait up to 10 working days. Fantastic. Just have to wait. Crazy in this day and age. Hopefully the cheque arrived and I don't have to go through this again.0

Hi Superhoopza, what was the outcome please?
I've just done a transfer from NW to MBNA and i was shocked that they can not carry out a process that all other major banks able to complete with in 2-3 days. Madness!0 -
They had to send a cheque to MBNA, you need to phone up NW, provide them with the details for MBNA, it then takes about 2 weeks to arrive to MBNA, who then have to process the cheque which takes another few days, so all in all, about 3 weeks. Yeah its ridiculous. Make sure you ask MBNA for an address to send the cheque to as the one listed on their statement is not the right place to send cheques to.TH0110 said:Hi Superhoopza, what was the outcome please?

Thanks Superhoopza, This helpful.
I recall them MW saying that postal address to MBNA was not correct, so we change it to the registered address. Let the fun begin trying to sort this out.0 -
Let MBNA know too that they should be expecting a cheque and which address you gave to NW so they can sort it internally.TH0110 said:Thanks Superhoopza, This helpful.
